My Story

My name is Seth and I am a senior at Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. I am a wrestler and am committed to wrestling next year at the University of Missouri. I started woodworking with my dad a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. I love to create new designs and learn how to do a variety of cutting, sanding, and adding finishing touches.

I am also training to be a pilot. I am weeks away from obtaining my Private Pilot's License, something I have been working towards for the last few years. I will continue to study aviation throughout college with my goal of becoming a commercial pilot.

Something else that is very important, is helping others. I see my mom and dad helping others all the time. My mom always volunteers at her school (she is a teacher) for activities such as Saint Baldrick’s and as my Catholic Religious Ed teacher. My dad raises money for injured and wounded service members injured in combat with The Semper Fi Fund and he also has raised money for St. Jude’s children’s hospital. My sister does lemonade stands for so I am planning to donate a portion of the proceeds to a different charity each month. I am also saving money to donate to disadvantaged athletes so they can have the opportunities to travel for wrestling as I do.

Lastly, every year I dedicate my season to one of my dad’s friends who was killed in combat. I proudly wear their name on my singlet as a way to honor this fallen service member. This is a way to keep their memory alive and honor their life.
